PADI
Beginning Open Water
This course introduces the novice to underwater scuba diving. Upon completion,
the student will meet the standard requirements established by PADI
to buy air fills, equipment and other diving services; engage in recreational
diving without the supervision of an instructor; plan, conduct and log
open-water, no-decompression dives in conditions comparable to, or better
than, those during training.
Requirements:
18 hours class/pool. 4 dives.
Prerequisites:
Students must be 10 years old to receive a PADI Junior Open Water certification
and 15 years old for a PADI Open Water certification.
Costs:
Tuition: $179 (Includes books, certification card, rentals
for class and open water use).
Student must provide fins, mask, snorkel, boots, gloves, weight belt,
weight, hood, two passport-size photos and both audible and visual

PADI Advanced Open Water
Advanced Open Water certification means that the student can successfully
plan, conduct and log open-water, no-decompression dives in conditions
comparable to, or better than, those during Basic Open Water training
to depths as deep as 100 feet.
Requirements:
3 hours class. 3 hour pool.
2 core or required dives: a navigation dive and a deep dive.
The student must finish three elective dives.

PADI Rescue Diver
This program teaches the information needed for preventing and handling
dive emergencies. Topics include self rescue, diver stress, diving first
aid, emergency management, equipment problems, rescue and assistance
procedures for both conscious and unconscious victims on the surface
and underwater.
Requirements:
9 hours class/pool. 2 days of diving.
Prerequisites:
PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent certification.
CPR training within the past two years.
Minimum age of 15 (12 for Junior).

PADI Dive Master
The first professional level in the PADI System allows you to sharpen
your diving skills to demonstration quality, gain a professional-level
understanding of diving theory, learn how to organize and conduct diving
activities, and learn how to supervise divers in training.
Requirements:
Six-week course including classroom, pool and open water training.

Emergency First Response
EFR is a basic training course in emergency care. CPR and other important
emergency care skills are combined into an eight hour course that allows
the graduate to function with a consistent set of priorities in a medical
emergency. The EFR Course fulfills the CPR requirements

Archeologist
The perfect beginning for the aspiring archaeologist, this course is
an introduction to the field of underwater archaeology. The course emphasizes
artifact and site preservation, and teaches the basics of site research.
Topics include advanced techniques such as photography and site mapping.

SWIMMING
and SNORKELING PROGRAMS
Dive Quarters provides beginner through advanced swimmers with the
necessary skills to enjoy water sports safely and successfully through
a variety of swimming and snorkeling classes. In addition, Dive Quarters
offers an introduction to and refinement of competitive swimming skills.
- All class and pool work take place on site.
- Dive Quarters swim instructors have completed American Red Cross Water
Safety Instructor Course.
- All Dive Quarters representatives have completed background checks.
FEATURES:

- Locker rooms with locks and changing areas.
- Poolside shower for customer convenience.
Parents may watch
poolside or over closed-circuit television in our lounge area. Parents
are requested to stay for younger children who need assistance with
dressing or restroom procedures.
Swimming
Dive Quarters swimming lessons follow American Red Cross standards of
teaching Levels One through Seven.
Cost:
$138 for six sessions at 30 minutes each, one on one with instructor.
Snorkeling
Snorkeling lessons teach the basics of mask clearing, kicking techniques
and snorkel use through in-pool instruction and games. The class was
developed for all ages.
Students must have a Level Two swimming ability.
Cost:
$23 per session at 30 minutes each.
Student must provide mask, fins and snorkel.
Alternative schedule classes may be accommodated
with advance notice.
Private classes are available upon request for an additional fee.
